I live about 7mins walk from Old Street tube station located on the Northern Line (via Bank) and will confirm the address after we have spoken over the phone to arrange our initial appointment.

Fees and Initial Meeting

£60 per session (50mins) @off-peak times (before 4.30pm Monday to Friday)

£65 per session (50mins) @peak times (after 4.30pm Monday to Friday)

I also offer a limited number of concessionary rates for people on lower incomes. Please enquire for further details.

The initial meeting is a free consultation and gives us the chance to meet each other and decide whether we are comfortable working together going forward. I will ask you why you are seeking therapy and also ask some questions about your current life and life history to better understand you and what it is you are looking for. I will also ask you for your GP details. If we agree to continue after this initial meeting, we will then arrange a day and time for ongoing sessions and sign the Therapy Contract below.

Sessions are typically weekly and we will agree a convenient day and time that then becomes your regular appointment. Therapy can continue with an agreed number of sessions or can progress open-ended.

Fees are payable by cash or bank transfer and settled before the session begins. Payments need to be up to date for therapy sessions to continue. If you are experiencing financial difficulties please discuss with me before hand.

Cancellations and Confidentiality

Reviews

Reviews allow the client to see more clearly what is happening in the therapy and provide opportunity for mutual feedback. A review can enable the client to evaluate if there have been any changes since the therapy began, and can also illustrate the main themes they are bringing to therapy.  The therapy is normally reviewed midway through the agreed contract, however reviews can be provided more frequently if helpful for the client. 

Working Online

When working remotely I use video conferencing platforms (e.g. Zoom) and prior to each session will email you the link to access the meeting.  When working remotely please ensure that the location you have chosen to receive therapy is a safe, private and confidential space with a good internet connection. Working remotely aims to replicate the conditions of the actual therapy room ensuring an uninterrupted and confidential encounter between client and therapist. 

Emergency Support

If you require immediate mental health support in a crisis then please view the below options: 

  • Contact your nearest accident and emergency (A&E) departments and report to staff how you are feeling
  • Contact NHS by calling 111
  • Make an urgent appointment with your GP
  • City & Hackney 24 hour mental health crisis helpline (020 8432 8020) (This service is useful for anyone based in East London.)
